The in-game Internet tab uses XCSTRIKE's own list. CS 1.6 servers on the site with at least 5 votes this month can appear there. Votes reset on the 1st — unlock the list again each month. You can still connect to any IP.

FAQ
Is this a Steam version?
You launch it with cstrike.exe, not from the Steam client. The engine is 8684 (Steam legacy / Pre-25th Anniversary), based on NextClient. You can still connect to community servers.
Is the download safe and clean?
The package is scanned before release. Check the VirusTotal report for third-party verification. No adware bundles or hidden miners.
Will my server show in the server list?
Servers added on XCSTRIKE and kept online can appear in this client's Internet list after enough votes. Add your IP. CS 1.6 listings are checked before they go live. Players can still connect by IP anytime.
Can I play on any CS 1.6 server?
Yes. Use the in-game server browser or connect via IP. XCSTRIKE-listed servers with enough votes are easier to find in the Internet tab.
